What is the main difference between the two NEVO shampoo and conditioners?
Moisture Rich is ideal for hair in need of extra hydration, while the Reparative line is better suited for clients with troubled hair needing added strength and nourishment.
Are NEVO products salt-free?
Yes, the complete NEVO line is free of any Sodium Chloride (salt).
Can you tell us about Hydra Pearls?
Hydra Pearls are made up of exotic oils from nature’s richest nuts and most nourishing plants. Hydra Pearls are power shots of Drops of the Amazon™, offering an efficient hydrating system that seals in moisture, effectively rejuvenates hair and revives skin. They are unique in the way they are packaged. In 100% vegan and biodegradable packaging, the Hydra Pearls are truly an innovation to the hair industry.
Do we need to be concerned for our clients that have nut allergies?
Typically topically applied products with nut oils are not a problem. However if the skin is broken, you should not apply the products to a client with nut allergies.
How do you use Hydra Pearls? I heard you could put them in color.
Hydra Pearls have a multitude of uses. They can be applied to damp hair to seal moisture and add shine, dry hair to add sheen and protection, and can also be used on your skin! You can, in fact add them to your color formula. We recommend adding 1 capsule to a typical 4oz color mixture.
Can the :60 Deep Treatment be used the same day as a color service?
Yes. The :60 Deep Treatment is formulated to provide strength and moisture from the Drops of the Amazon™, penetrating deep into the interior of the hair strand. We recommend doing the treatment before the color service to replenish protein and to provide anchor sites for the color.
If the hair is truly fragile, can you use the: 60 Deep Treatment before AND after the color service?
Yes. The :60 Deep Treatment does not strip color; therefore it can be used before and after color services.
How often can you use the Color Lock?
We recommend using it daily, or as often as desired. For colorists, we suggest using it after every color service, as the high-powered anti-oxidants completely stop the oxidation process.
Are NEVO products safe for hair treated with the Perfection SmoothOut?
Yes, all the products are sulfate-free and safe and gentle for all hair types and conditions.
Are the NEVO products 100% certified organic?
No. First of all, certified organic refers solely to plant-based materials and crops and simply means that the associated plants have been grown in soil that has been free of non-organic pesticide use for 5-7 years. While NEVO products do contain many plant-based ingredients, which would qualify as organic, NEVO also employs essential non-plant ingredients to ensure optimal performance.
Is NEVO all-natural?
We do not make any claim that NEVO is all-natural. A truly all-natural range of products void of any synthetic ingredients is greatly diminished in its ability to perform. With NEVO, we have opted to take the best from nature and the finest from modern technology and wed this with a commitment to produce not only a product range of ultra-high performance, but to employ only the safest, most caring ingredients for people and the planet.
Are all the ingredients in the entire NEVO line 100% vegan?
Yes, NEVO products are now Certified Vegan by Vegan Action, the recognized leader and authority on Vegan Certification. Future packaging will bear the Certified Vegan logo.
Some hair care products bear a leaf symbol and we’ve heard of some being “leaf certified”. What does this mean? Is NEVO Leaf certified?
Companies are free to create logos and assign their own meaning to logos as they choose. There is no governmental regulation on creation and use of company logos. Leaf Certified (http://leafcertified.org/) is related to the ecologically friendly creation of fabrics for the apparel industry and has no direct relationship to hair care or beauty products.
Are the displays and brochures also completely biodegradable?
Yes, the NEVO displays and brochures are made of recycled and biodegradable materials.
It was stated that the donation to City of Hope is ongoing but in some of the printed material it states it will go only until October 31, 2013. Which is accurate?
For the purpose of our contract of support with City of Hope, the contract itself required a one-year anniversary date. Hence, the October 31, 2013 date. It is our intent and commitment to have our support for the City of Hope to be continuous and ongoing.
What will happen with the other PRAVANA hair care products?
Our classic PRAVANA hair products will remain as the first choice to support color and texture services. They will over the next year be phased into 100% biodegradable packaging.
Will there be new NEVO products in the future?
Yes. However, due to the unique positioning of the brand we will be very selective as to what we add to the line, as whatever we add, it must work in concert with the NEVO philosophy.
